The X - Dales '21 Challenge will run over the extended weekend of the 10,11,12th September to coincide with the DHPC social event.  All the relevant details relating to entry, format, rules, safety, task, and scoring etc are available via the downloads below. New information may be added as necessary.

The task can be viewed here which also hosts the task download and upload into the scoring system.  The task is a circular 50k route taking in the Howgills and western Dales with some guidance notes for those unfamiliar with the area. Whilst not a huge task it does involve 3000m of ascent/descent and purely as a walk would take around 13 -14 hrs (Naismiths Rule).

Everything is explained in the outline notes. However, whilst the challenge covers three full days it is up to competitors to select a single day for their attempt. Only one attempt is allowed.    There is NO ENTRY CHARGE.

The start/finish point is the small town of Sedbergh (details below).

When completing your entry it would be useful to have your L24 'user' name (if you use L24). You can then be added to a dedicated group for tracking purposes. I will add you. It will go live over the three event days.
